Tours of the Library Research Annexe

Dear Colleague,

You are cordially invited to an open day at the Library Research Annexe. The open day will be on the 3rd August.

The Research Annexe opened in November 2006. The LRA houses approximately 40,000 meters of Special Collections and general collections material and is currently well used by researchers from both Edinburgh and abroad.

Tours of the LRA will be available both morning and afternoon. Please indicate in your reply which tour you would wish to partake in. Numbers will be limited so an early reply would be appreciated.

Refreshments will be available.

The Research Annexe is located along South Gyle Crescent, immediately after South Gyle Crescent lane. The Library Research Annexe is at Block 20-22 South Gyle Crescent. Lothian buses numbers 2,22,35 provide a frequent service. As the bus enters South Gyle Crescent you will pass a row of shops, a hairdressers, O'Briens Sandwich bar and a Chinese buffet, the bus stop you want is immediately after these shops (there is a bus stop directly outside these shops but you want the bus stop after it). The bus stop is outside a large Post Office Building, Tallents House. The Library Research Annexe is directly across the road from this building, there is a sign on the front of the building which says Edinburgh University
